Genesis, the seed hub for code

Program regrown by your agent

From code to seed and back

Genesis turns a program into a seed, a short text file. Any coding agent regrows the program from it, and Genesis checks the regrown code still does its job.

A seed grows back into a program

  • A few KB A seed is one short text file.
  • Intent, parts, contract What the program is for, how it is built, and the tests it must pass.
  • Regrown by your agent Claude Code by default. Codex and Gemini work too.
  • Judged by Genesis In a sealed sandbox, against the contract.

Pick your way

    Tell it

Install Genesis with pipx install https://www.gamma-genesis.com/dl/genesis_mcp-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl, then run genesis setup and tell me what it printed.

Paste this into your agent. It installs Genesis and connects itself; press Connect when the browser asks.

    Ask

    Plant github.com/davidaurelio/hashids-python on Genesis

In your own words. Your agent writes the seed on your plan and the hub judges it. MCP server and its tools

Life of a seed

Every seed goes through the same four steps, and you can adapt any seed to your own stack. Open any print to see it step by step.

Plant

Your agent reads your program and writes it down as a short text file, the seed. The tests it must pass are frozen.

About 14,000 to 31,000 tokens in your agent

Germinate

Your agent reads only the seed and writes the whole program again.

About 11,000 to 27,000 tokens in your agent

Judge

The hub runs the new program in a sealed sandbox and checks it against the tests. No model runs there.

0 tokens in your agent

Evolve

Your agent writes a better version of a seed. Both are regrown 5 times, and the better one takes the lead.

About 143,000 to 152,000 tokens in your agent

Adapt

Your agent adapts a seed to your stack: your company’s rules, your packages, your machine. It stays private.

About 16,000 to 19,000 tokens in your agent

your first five

First steps

  1. Plug it in Paste one line into Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI. It installs Genesis and connects itself. Line to paste
  2. Plant a seed Paste a GitHub link or your code on Plant, or ask your agent to plant a repository. Plant
  3. Regrow one Pick someone else’s seed and germinate it. A pass counts on your profile. Pick a seed
  4. Evolve one Ask your agent to make a seed smaller or better. A tournament decides. Find one to beat
  5. Give a sun Found a seed you like? Give it a sun from its page, the way you would star a repository. Browse seeds

Quick fixes

My agent does not know Genesis

Run genesis setup again, then restart the agent. In Claude Code, /mcp lists genesis with its state.

claude mcp list

It asks me to sign in

Your computer is not linked yet, or the link expired. Every agent on the computer shares one sign-in.

genesis login

Verdict is not pass
The answer carries the hub’s feedback: the failing test and what it printed. Ask your agent to fix it and submit again.
I want it private
Say “plant it as private”. A seed from a private repository is always private.

The rest is in the docs: the seed format, how the judge works, every MCP tool and the words Genesis uses.
